Understanding yourself

Feeling overwhelmed is not a weakness

Stress, low mood and anxiety are common human experiences, not character flaws. When they persist for weeks, interfere with sleep, work or relationships, or feel unmanageable, that is a signal to seek support, the same way you would for any physical health concern.

Helping others

How to support someone who is struggling

Start by listening without rushing to fix. Ask open questions, take what they share seriously, and avoid judgement or quick advice. Encourage them gently toward professional support, and keep checking in. Consistency matters more than perfect words.

Stigma

Common myths about mental health

Mental health challenges are not caused by weakness or spiritual failure, and they are not rare. They are common, they affect people of every background, and with the right support most people recover or manage well. Talking about them does not make them worse. Silence does.

Getting support

What happens in counselling

Counselling is a confidential conversation with someone trained to help you make sense of what you are going through. There is no judgement and nothing you must prepare. You talk at your own pace, and together you build practical ways of coping.
